The Green Jobs - Green New York (GJGNY) program offered through NYSERDA is composed of the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program and the Photovoltaic (PV) Program. The first program offers homeowners with options for receiving a home energy assessment as well as financing choices through two loan options.

NY-Sun through Green Jobs - Green New York

The state's Photovoltaic (PV) Program is also known as NY-Sun. Installing a solar electric system for your home can be a significant investment. However, it can provide a long-term source of renewable power and consistent savings. Regardless of eventually savings and, switching to solar is a large commitment and NY-Sun wants you to have the resources and project financing to make informed, affordable decisions.

For homeowners, there are currently two loan options for financing a solar project. The first option is an On-Bill Recovery Loan, while the second is a Smart Energy Loan. Interest rates on both loans are dependent on your credit score and are subject to change.
